What does it cost our club?
There is no up-front cost to the club for the online shop. Families buy the book from us, and we pay for printing and delivery.
If your committee decides to buy copies as a gift for players, that is the club’s own purchase, agreed separately.
How much does our club earn?
A fee from us for every copy sold. Your club agreement sets the fee.
Standard offer as at 19 October 2026. Your club’s agreement sets your actual fee. The standard fee is £3.00 for every copy sold. Work out what that would mean for your club.
If your club is VAT-registered, we pay the fee plus VAT[1].
When is the fee paid?
Within the payment period written into your club agreement, with a statement of what was sold.
Do families know what the club earns?
Yes. Every shop page, and the payment page, states the fee your club earns for every copy sold. We apply the Charities Act 1992 rule on point-of-sale statements to every club[2].
Does the club collect money or take orders?
No. Families order and pay on the club’s shop page. The club never takes cash or payment for the book and never places orders for parents.
Signing up
Who signs for the club?
The officer your club names as its approver signs the badge licence and the club agreement, and approves the proof of the book.
Who owns our badge?
Copyright in a badge belongs to whoever drew it unless it was assigned in writing; there is no register[3]. If a volunteer drew yours, they may still own it. That is why we ask who drew the badge, so the right person gives permission.
Your club keeps whatever rights it has. The badge licence only lets us use the badge in your book and its shop.
Can we check everything before it is printed?
Yes. You confirm every club detail first, and your club approves the whole book before the shop opens.
The shop and delivery
How long does it take?
Your shop’s opening and closing dates are set before it opens.
The delivery date is shown on the shop, and parents agree to it when they order. Without an agreed date, the law sets a limit of 30 days from the order[4].
What if only a few families buy?
That is fine: there is no minimum order. Books are printed on demand, and our printer has no minimum quantity for printing on demand[5].
Can families buy more than one copy?
Yes. Families can add extra copies for grandparents and relatives in the same order.
Do parents need an account?
No. They give their name and email address (and their address for home delivery) when they order.
Can families cancel?
Yes. They can cancel within 14 days of receiving the book, without giving a reason[6].
Telling families
Can we email or message parents about the book?
Only people who agreed to receive club news by email or message. Otherwise post it publicly, for example on your club website or social media page[7].
Still have a question?
Ask it in your enquiry. It commits the club to nothing.
